Sid took that to mean won’t talk, but what the hell, at least the woman had got in touch. The rest of the message, however, had her punching the air with her fist.

She’d found Leah! She was a cult member!

Hastily, Sid messaged back, trying to assure Julia she would never divulge any information about her to anybody – she was obviously scared of sharing her history at the cult – but there was no response.

Ridiculously energised, Sid rang Detective Kelly, but got his messaging service.

‘I’ve got a lead to my father. Call me.’

Sid began pacing. She wanted to see Leah. She wanted to see Father Luke. She wanted to go to the Golden Dawn and rip it apart at the seams and find her father.

When Kelly finally called her back, it was the end of the day and her nerves were shredded.

‘I want to go to the Golden Dawn tomorrow. Can you come with me?’

‘I’m sorry, but I’m with the chief super all day, and I’m–’

‘Owen was shouting the name Leah at his wife just before he was killed and I’ve just had it confirmed that Leah is a cult member at the Golden Dawn.’

She’d barely finished speaking when he said, ‘How soon can you get here?’
